PowerUP! is Brooklyn Public Library’s small business plan competition in which Brooklyn residents learn how to create a business plan and enter to win $15,000 in prize money. I created a bold and inviting campaign for our targeted demographic: 25-45 year old Brooklyn residents with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit. By utilizing a fresh and vibrant color palette and bold typography we highlighted the fact that many successful Brooklyn businesses got their start with PowerUP!, ultimately motivating people to enter the competition and drive up registration numbers for the library. We created postcards, posters and online ads. Registration numbers increased from the previous year and the audience response was extremely positive.
